The following is the potato processing procedure for extraction of starch from potato procedure

Eextraction of starch from potato procedure

a. Conveying and cleaning: The fresh potato in storage yard is firstly conveyed to dry sieve for cleaning by forklift. Cleaning mainly remove sand, stone and other foreign matters of potato by rotating the inner spiral of dry sieve for extraction of starch from potato procedure. The impurities therefore are effectively removed under the action of collision and friction.

b. Washing: Washing serves to wash away all the impurities of potato, such as mud, dirt and outer brown peelers for extraction of starch from potato procedure. It is required that to check the water source in potato starch manufacturing plant regularly to ensure it is not contaminated.

c. Grating: The cleaned potato is pulverized by a rasper, and the function of grating for extraction of starch from potato procedure is to destroy the structure of potato, so as to make sure the tiny starch granules can be disintegrated and separated from the potato cells in potato starch manufacturing process.

d. Separating: Centrifugal sieve is a potato starch processing machine for fiber separation by principle of high speed centrifugal force for extraction of starch from potato procedure.

e. Concerntration and refining: This process is used for removing protein, cell sap and other impurities out of potato slurry. g. Drying: The flash dryer uses hot air to heat the starch to achieve the purpose of drying for extraction of starch from potato procedure. The whole system is in a negative pressure state, and features with no dust and energy saving. After the starch is dried, the water content is between 12% and 14%, which is the standard of the finished product.
