Potato starch extraction process

1. Cleaning: Cleaning is the first part in the potato starch extraction process. The dry sieve is the mainly used machine for this process whose main function is to remove the sand, soil, weed and so on. As a high efficient potato starch machine, dry sieve features with reasonable rotating speed and stable running.

2.Washing: The cleaned potato is conveyed to the paddle washing machine which is a widely used potato starch manufacturing machine in potato starch extraction process. The paddle washing machine is a high efficiency washing machine which takes countercurrent washing principle. The water moves in the converse direction with the potato so that the washing effect is greatly improved. The large capacity and easy handling characteristics of this machine makes it save labors for the factory.

3. Crushing: Potatoes are fed into rasping machine through screw conveyer. Crushing is the most important process in potato starch extraction process, therefore it will be better to choose high efficient crushing machine. 4. Fiber Separation:This potato starch machine is for separating fiber from starch in potato starch extraction process.  Potato starch slurry is pump into the first level centrifuge sieve, the wet fiber comes down from the first screen is then pumped into the second, third and the fourth extraction screen, thus to achieve better separation effect.

5.Desanding: Due to the high sand content in starch, the desander is needed to remove sand form the starch slurry in potato starch extraction process. The desander can remove sand from starch at one time and improve the product quality to a higher level. The desander separates sand from starch by using different densities of sand and starch.

6.Concentrating and refining: Then the used potato starch manufacturing machine is hydrocyclone station which is mainly used to remove the fine fiber, protein and cell sap. This is the concentrating and refining process of potato starch extraction process. The hydrocyclone pipe is made of strengthened nylon which is solid and durable. The hydrocyclone station of Doing Company is designed to recycle the starch milk to avoid the loss of starch and can achieve continuity of the starch production.

7. Dewatering: Vacuum filter is an extensively used potato starch dewatering machine in potato starch extraction process. The rotating drum speed of this potato dewatering machine can be frequency control. And the moisture content is 38% after the dewatering process.

8. Drying and packing: The mainly used potato drying machine is flash dryer in potato starch extraction process. This machine features with high heat exchange rate. This is a high efficient potato starch machine for it can dry the starch in just a few seconds.
