Potato starch production line

The potato starch production line in Henan Doing Company adopts the wet processing technology of starch production which contains no additive. The whole process has the features of high degree of automation, mature technology, advanced equipment and scientific configuration. The process flow of potato starch production line includes: potato cleaning process, washing process, grating process, separating process, concentration and refining process, dehydration process and drying process.

1.The first process is cleaning: In potato starch production line, the firt process is for removing sand, stone, weed and other debris of potato. Dry sieve is a widely used potato cleaning machine whose main function is to remove the sand, soil, weed and other impurities from potato. This machine adopts multiple inner spirals design which achieve the transportation function during cleaning process.

2.The second process is washing: The cleaned potato is transported into rotary washing machine. Rotary washing machine is a widely used potato starch processing machine in potato starch production line. It adopts countercurrent washing principle which has a better washing effect. On the one hand, fresh potato in the rotary washing machine moves in a circular motion along the drum wall, and on the other hand, moves in a straight line along the axis. In this way, fresh potatoes are well washed.  The breakage rate is lower than 1%.

3. The third process is grating: The washed potato is then transported into rasper for grating. Rasper is used for grating potato to break the cell wall of potato and release starch from potato cell. This is an important procedure in potato starch production line. DOING rasper is composed of hundreds of saw blades, and featured with high speed, fine grinding, high free rate of starch, high production capacity and high rate of starch extraction.

4. The forth process is screening: The grated potato slurry need to be further processed to remove the impurities from starch. Centrifuge sieve is used to separating fiber and potato starch in potato starch production line. Multiple screening or countercurrent washing processes are generally adopted. It is required that after the separating and washing process, and the starch content of the residue should less than 35%.

5. The fifth process is concentration and refining:  This process is for removing protein, cell sap and other impurities in potato starch production line. Hydrocyclone station is widely used for this process. The hydrocyclone station is composed of multistage cyclone in a certain way. According to the processing function of each stage cyclone in the cyclone station, different number of cyclone pipes and a feed pump need to be installed. The whole unit is independent in the process, compact in structure and convenient in installation.

6. The sixth process is dehydrating: After refining, the potato starch need to be dewatered in potato starch production line. Vacuum filer is the main machine for this process. It take use of negative pressure principle. When working, the starch is adsorbed on the filter cloth of the drum and is scraped off by the fixed scraper.

7. The final process is drying: In potato starch production line, this is mainly used to dry the wet starch to meet the production standards. Flash dryer as the drying machine has the features of high thermal efficiency, short drying time and large handling capacity.
