Description

The tapioca starch extraction process adopts advanced, scientific, reasonable and mature technical processes at home and abroad: one-time cleaning, secondary pulverization, secondary washing, separation, dehydration, and negative pressure airflow drying production process, which has high yield and high whiteness.

Tapioca starch extraction process

1. Raw material cleaning and washing: The first point to process the cassava is cleaning. Dry sieve is widely used for cleaning in tapioca starch extraction process whose main function is to remove sand, mud, leaves and other debris. Then the paddle wash machine is used for washing process which combines flushing with a low water level and continuous removal of dirt and peels.

2. Grinding: Grinding unit is the most important part in tapioca starch extraction process which affects the extraction rate of tapioca starch. Efficient rasper allow the starch particles in cassava cells to be released completely, ensuring that the amount of bound starch in tapioca dregs is kept to a minimum.

3. Starch slurry and residue separation
The separation unit is the next step of tapioca starch extraction process, and the used cassava starch processing machine normally comprises centrifuge sieve and fine fiber sieve. The main function of this process is to separate the fibers out of starch slurry. After this process, the starch has reached the commercial standard of finished product in terms of fineness.

4. Desanding: The specific gravity of mud and sand is greater than that of water, and is also larger than that of starch granules in cassava starch processing plant. Hence the separation of sand out of starch slurry by gravity separation is effective. Desander is a machine serves for this purpose in tapioca starch extraction process.

5. Concentration and refining
The starch slurry after desanding process still contains organic and inorganic impurities such as protein, cell sap and so on, which need to be further processed in tapioca starch extraction process. Hydrocyclone station is used for this purpose. Full hydrocyclone technology can achieve the concentration, refining and recycling of starch.

6. Dehydrating: The moisture content of starch milk from cyclone is too large to dry directly, so it needs to be dehydrated first to make the moisture content of starch below 40% in tapioca starch extraction process.

7. Starch drying and packing
The starch undergoes thorough drying process to meet the requirements of the commercial product for tapioca starch extraction process. After drying, the water content is about 14%.Then it is packed by automatic packing machine for marketing.
